OTDYKH Leisure is a legendary event for the entire tourism industry of Russia, which traditionally unites the tourist community in an annual format, despite the pandemic and closed borders. The Forum-exhibition is an quintessence of the main current world trends in tourism, a platform for their formation in the dialogue of government and business and also reflects the state of the tourist industry in Russia.

OTDYKH Leisure this year will be held under the motto of the year «We Will Rock Tourism», which gives a certain mood to professional participants and echoes with the revolutionary themes announced in the business program of the Forum. OTDYKH Leisure annually gather on its large-scale platform market leaders, foreign and Russian state structures, industry associations and associations that have a global impact on the tourism industry in Russia and the world tourism sector. This year the autumn forum-exhibition on tourism will again be held in the central exhibition complex «Expocentre» and will occupy the pavilion «Forum». According to forecasts, more than 400 companies from 16 countries and 50 regions of Russia will present their stands at the site of OTDYKH Leisure 2021. For the first time in OTDYKH Leisure history will the Russian regions KHMAO and Krasnoyarsk region will present their tourist product. The Nizhny Novgorod and Pskov regions will significantly increase the area of their expositions. The foreign part of the exhibition is going through recovery, confirming the international status of OTDYKH Leisure. Tourist potential will be again presented the countries of Latin America. After a long break two major tourist markets of the Latin American region - Brazil and Argentina are making a return to OTDYKH Leisure. In correspondence format Seven Tours, a Mexican travel company with more than 25 years of experience in the market will tell about the diversity of tourism in Mexico - beautiful beaches, rich traditions and unique culture, authentic cuisine and fantastic hospitality. Region-partner of OTDYKH Leisure 2021 for this year will be Nizhny Novgorod region, the capital of which celebrates a large-scale holiday marking the 800-years from the day of the foundation of the city and it is «New Year’s capital of Russia 2021-2022». The city-partner OTDYKH Leisure 2021 will be Saint Petersburg, which successfully hosted this summer matches of EURO-2020. The participation of the Republic of Tatarstan, is marked with its new project «Hospitable Kazan» and the program «1000 and one pleasure in the Republic of Tatarstan» . The Russian Geographical Society (RGO), whose Board of Trustees is headed by Vladimir Putin, will present a unique photo exhibition about the remotest parts of Russia as an official partner.

At the moment of recovery from the pandemic and during the period of active involvement of the government in the tourism industry, the autumn meeting of specialists will be of great importance to highlight the stages of implementation of new national project on tourism, discussion of a new bill, exchange of information on new tourism programmes and projects.
